To connect your laptop to the CDJ-3000s, you’ll need compatible DJ software, such as Rekordbox, which supports direct connectivity with these models. If you’re unsure, please contact us before your session, and we’ll provide guidance.

Need to troubleshoot? Here’s how:
To connect your laptop to the CDJ-3000  players at Estrelar, follow these steps:

1. Install Rekordbox (or Serato, if compatible):
Rekordbox is the most widely compatible software for Pioneer CDJs. Make sure you have the latest version of Rekordbox downloaded and installed on your laptop.
If using Serato, ensure you have a compatible Pioneer device and the necessary licenses.

2. Connect USB Cable:
Use a USB cable to connect your laptop to the CDJ setup. In most studios, this connection goes through the mixer, which acts as the central hub for both CDJs.

3. Enable LINK Mode in Rekordbox:
Open Rekordbox and activate LINK Mode (usually found at the bottom left corner in Rekordbox DJ).
You should see both CDJs appear on the Rekordbox interface if they’re connected correctly.

4. Assign Decks:
On each CDJ screen, assign a deck (Deck 1 or Deck 2) to match your setup in Rekordbox. This allows each CDJ to pull the track information directly from your laptop.

5. Select USB/MIDI Source on CDJs:
On each CDJ, press the USB/MIDI button to connect to your laptop's track list. You should now be able to browse and play your Rekordbox tracks on each CDJ.

6. Set Audio Output:
In Rekordbox, make sure your audio output settings match the CDJ setup. Go to Preferences and Audio and ensure each channel is assigned to the correct CDJ deck.

7. Test Playback:
Play a track on your laptop and confirm that it appears on the CDJ screen. Adjust the volume levels on the mixer to ensure sound is coming through.

Tip: If you're not getting any sound, ensure the mixer is powered on, and each channel fader and crossfader are properly set.

We recommend using DJM-Rec, a mobile app designed for high-quality recording through the mixer. Alternatively, you can record directly by plugging a USB drive into our mixer to capture your set.

Not working? Here’s how you can troubleshoot:
If no sound is coming from the speakers, troubleshoot as follows:

1. Check the Mixer:
- Ensure the mixer is powered on and that each channel is assigned to the correct input (e.g., Line or USB for digital sources).
- Verify that the Master volume knob is turned up, along with the channel fader for the CDJ you are using.
- Make sure the Cue/Master selection is correct and that the crossfader (if engaged) is positioned toward the active channel.

2. Confirm CDJ Output:
- Check that each CDJ is properly linked and is showing your track on its display.
- Press Play on each CDJ and ensure the track is actually playing.

3. Verify Speaker Connections:
Inspect the speaker connections on the back of the mixer to confirm they’re properly plugged in. The KRK Rokit 5 monitors should be connected to the mixer’s output ports.

4. Adjust Mixer Levels:
- Make sure each channel level, the Master level, and individual CDJ levels are turned up sufficiently.
- Test using headphones to verify if sound is coming through the mixer. If you can hear sound through the headphones but not the speakers, it may indicate a speaker connection issue.

5. Test with Different Input Source:
If the speakers still aren’t working, try using a different input source on the mixer (like another laptop, phone, or USB) to rule out issues with the CDJs or laptop.

6. Restart Equipment:
As a last step, turn off and restart the mixer and CDJs. Sometimes a simple reset can resolve connectivity issues.

If issues persist, feel free to contact Estrelar support during operating hours (10 AM - 10 PM).
